Crypto SSD is the new series of hard drives from Integral. The disks in the series comes with a rigid aes 256-bit encryption that automatically encrypts all data on the disk, including operating system, at shutdown. The security system is bios-independent and a user can only access the disk and boot to Windows by entering the correct password of 8-16 alphanumeric characters.

In the event of a brute force attack to crack the password, all encrypted data is automatically deleted after a preset number of failed password attempts, between 6 and 20 times. Both the data and the encryption key is destroyed and Crypto SSD is restored. An admin can create both individual users for the disk, and an admin account that can be used to unlock the drive if the user forget their password.

Crypto SSD also enables client settings in detail, an admin can easily restrict and control what users can access. Also, when encryption is in place, it is not possible to clone Crypto device.

The disk is designed to be both robust and virtually impossible to manipulate and therefore has a structure where all the drive electronics are encased in epoxy resin which is then protected by an outer casing made of metal. Crypto SSD is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The price is between 155 pounds to a disk with 32 GB and 362 pounds to 256 GB.
